WIHN Programs


Overview
Each evening in Wake County, two churches provide shelter, meals and transportation for up to five families each, serving up to 10 families every night in the WIHN program. Professional staff provides daily individual case management working with families to learn the skills necessary to achieve and maintain self-sufficiency.

Housing
Guests are provided referrals to local housing programs as well as information on income-based apartments and apartment listings.

Budgeting
Case Managers provide guests with education on how to budget their money. Program guidelines require guests to save 75% of their income.

Counseling
WIHN provides short term crisis counseling, counseling referrals, and ongoing encouragement to assist guests in getting back on their feet and on the right path toward success.
