WIHN accepts donations for the Day Center. We've been fortunate to receive many items lately, but we still need:
- Plastic bowls, plastic spoons
- Cleaning supplies (to clean floors and bathrooms, NOT dish detergent)
- Mops, buckets, brooms
- Children's cough medicine
- 1-quart Ziploc baggies
- Bath towels
- Postage stamps
- Bus passes (day passes)
WIHN accepts some donations for families
when they’re ready to move out. Items should be clean and in good condition:
- Small kitchen appliances (toaster,
blender, microwave, etc.)
- Linens (towels, sheets, blankets)
- Flatware
- Dishes (plates, bowls, glasses)
- Pots, pans, cooking utensils
WIHN does not accept clothing. If you
have clothing to donate, please take it to the Bargain Box at Cameron
Village (401 Woodburn Road; 833-7587; M-Sat, 10am-6pm) or the Dorcas
Shop in Cary (1231 NE Maynard Road; 469-9861; Mon-Fri, 9am-4pm; Sat. 10am-2pm). Both of these
organizations are generous to our families. WIHN accepts furniture donations if we have space at the Day Center in the basement. Please call first to verify that there is space for the furniture to be donated.
Staff must be present to accept donations. Staff hours are Monday-Friday, 7am-5:30pm.
